AFC Challenge Cup 2010

Everything is set for the grand final of the AFC Challenge Cup 2010 which is scheduled to get underway at 7.00 p.m. at Sugathadasa Stadium, Colombo, today.

FIFA 2011 World Cup qualifiers North Korea have qualified to play in the final of the tournament against Turkmenistan today. Both teams go into the final with unbeaten records.

All eyes will be upon the North Koreans as they are the hot favourites.

Turkmenistan will be skippered by custodian Bayram while North Korea will be captained by forward Choe Chol Man.

It is a first for both teams, as it will be their first appearance in a final of the tournament.

North Korea beat Myanmar in the second semi-final 5-0 while Turkmenistan beat Tajikistan 2-0 in the first semi-final on Wednesday at the Sugathadasa Stadium.

North Korea has scored 13 goals in the tournament while conceding only one goal, while Turkmenistan has scored 5 goals, against the solitary goal they have conceded.

The consolation final will get underway between Myanmar and Tajikistan at 3.30p.m. before the final.

AFC President Mohamed Bin Hammam, will be the Chief Guest at the finals.
