Trinity force Royal to follow on

Off-spinners Rushan Jaleel and Suresh Wickrama, who shared ten wickets between them for Trinity College, Kandy, bundled out Royal College, Colombo for a paltry 112 runs after posting 245 runs in their annual cricket fixture at the Asgiriya Stadium, Kandy on Friday.

Jaleel, who is back in top form, scored 68 runs while Rajitha Jayathunga put up an impressive 55 together with Heshan Wanniyarachchi, who stuck a quick 36 enabling Trinity to pile up a healthy 245 all out in 48.2 overs before skittling Royal for 112 runs in 32.1 overs. In the process, ace spinner Wickrama took six for 49 while Jaleel managed to take four wickets for 46 runs. The Royalists following on were 26 for three in 15 overs at close with Wickrama and Jaleel adding one wicket each to their first innings tally.
