St. Sylvester’s in innings win over President’s

Half-centuries from left handers Ruwantha Ekanayake and Kanishka Herath were the highlights as St. Sylvester’s College registered an innings and 49 runs victory over President’s College in their Inter-School Under-19 tournament match ended at Rajagiriya yesterday.

President’s 48 all out in 22 overs (Thanuja Vithanage 20; Dananjaya Athauda 3/16, Waruna Wijesinghe 2/08, Ruwantha Ekanayake 2/12) and 224 all out in 57 overs (Lahiru Kamburugamuwa 55, Thanuja Vithanage 41, Shehan Wanigasuriya 35; Dushan Malalasena 2/11, Faiz Ahamed 2/24, Thivanka Gunaratne 2/20)

Wickramasekara scores unbeaten 121

Hiran Wickramasekara scored an unbeaten 121 for St. Anthony’s to post 212 for six wickets at close, after Mahinda College scored a first innings win in their Inter-School Under-19 tournament match which ended at Galle yesterday.
