

Hasanka reaches1000 runs
Royal College, Panadura skipper Pubudu Hasanka reached the 1000 runs mark for the season when he top scored with 85 runs for his team in their match against Tissa Central, Kalutara yesterday.
Another Sri Lanka Under-19 World Cup discard, Hasanka had a remarkable season as he scored over 50 runs on 10 occasion in 16 innings to produce an average of over 88 runs.
A right hander Hasanka scored eight half centuries, a century and a double century for Royal College, Panadura in the school’s record setting seven outright victories in the Under-19 Division II tournament. Under his captaincy Royal College scored outright victories against all their tournament counterparts.
Batting at number three position Hasanka scored half centuries against Sumangala(Panadura), St. Mary’s (Kegalle), Karandeniya Central, Devananda, Siri Piyaratana, Vidyartha, Moratu Vidyalaya and Tissa Central.
He scored his century against Taxila before achieving his best, an unbeaten 201 runs against minnows Poramadulla Central.
He has scored his 1000 runs in 13 matches and has used only 16 innings to do so while remaining unbeaten on four occasions.
