The All Ceylon Tamil United Front has warned the Tamil
National Alliance against conspiring to split the Tamil vote at the
upcoming general election in the North and East and leave Tamils
rudderless. The warning was issued to TNA leader R. Sampanthan by Dr. K.
Vigneswaran.
Fonseka faces Court Martial today
Former Army Commander and defeated presidential
candidate General (retd) Sarath Fonseka will face a Court martial today,
at Navy Headquarters, on three charges including that of participating
in politics while in office.

Democratic National Alliance yesterday held a protest near the
Pettah Bo Tree in support of General (retd) Sarath Fonseka. The
protesters urged the Government to release Fonseka and claimed that
the military court appointed to try the retired Army chief was
unconstitutional.
