SriLankan Airlines has unveiled its fabulous new Serendib Treasures on-board duty free collection, with more than 50 exciting new items for passengers to choose from.

The new collection of more than 150 products includes a large number of the world’s most famous name brand items in fragrances, cosmetics, designer watches, jewellery, travel accessories, designer pens, spirits, and tobacco. There are also airline souvenirs and children’s delights such as model aircraft and airport sets and watches.

SriLankan’s Manager Inflight Service Support Jehan Karunaratne said: "The new Serendib Treasures collection is the most exciting selection that we have had on board yet, and our passengers will be delighted with the large number of additional items. We’ve kept all the high-demand products, while phasing out those for which there’s less demand and introducing the newest name brand items. There’s something for everyone in Serendib Treasures."

Among the new fragrances are Estee Lauder’s ‘Beautiful’, YSL Parisienne, Davidoff’s ‘Cool Water Woman’, Armani’s ‘Code Duo’, the ‘Gio Pour Homme Set’ by Aqua De, ‘Romance Always Yours’ by Ralph Lauren, and ‘a scent’ by Issey Miyake. There are also multi-bottle miniature sets by Issey Miyake, Jean Paul Gautier, Burberry, Bulgari, and Estee Lauder.

The cosmetics section has been extensively expanded to include mascara, nail treatment creams, lip gloss, eye makeup, night creams, and other beauty aids from such famous brands as Clarins, YSL, Revlon, Lancome, Elizabeth Arden and Estee Lauder.

The exquisite collection of watches includes some of the finest names such as Frederique Constant, Cerruti, Espirit, Misaki, Timex, Puma, Aviator, Pierre Cardin, Vivaldi, Lambretta and many more. Then there are designer pens from Mont Blanc, Cerruti, and Osim.

The jewellery collection is simply exquisite, containing pendants, chains, bangles, ear studs and necklaces from Hot Diamonds, Swarovski, Frey Wille, and Pasqale Paris. Travel accessories in the Serendib Treasures collection include wallets, sunglasses, radios, headsets, solar chargers, and eye masks.

In keeping with the National Carrier’s policy of promoting Sri Lankan products, Serendib Treasures includes the ‘Memories of Sri Lanka’ collection of items such as brassware, jewellery, handicrafts, batiks, ties, cufflinks, tiepins, CD’s of Sri Lankan songs including an instrumental selection and one by Clarence Wijewardana, and a Siddhalepa herbal spa pack.

A new addition is "The Patriot Collection" by the Mother Sri Lanka Foundation (www.mothersrilanka.lk), which is an initiative by the Government of Sri Lanka to inspire positive thinking about the country and bring about a change in attitude among Sri Lankans. It includes T-shirts, caps, tie pins, key tags, paperweights, and mouse pads, all branded with the national flag and lion emblem..

While passengers can view the Serendib Treasures collection while en route in the on-board Serendib Treasures magazine, it can also be seen through the convenience of the Internet. Passengers have the option of booking products of their choice up to 48 hours prior to their flights, and avoiding disappointment in the case of items which may be in high demand.
