The 47th Senior National Basketball Tournament 2009 got underway yesterday after a colourful opening ceremony at the Police Park in Colombo yesterday. Rtd. Senior DIG I.T. Canagaratnam, Senior most Vice-President of Sri Lanka Basketball Federation (SLBF) graced the occasion as Chief Guest while Brig. Janaka Ratnayake, Chairman, Organizing Committee and Nishantha Edirisinghe, Divisional Manager, Sales and Marketing David Pieris Motor Company Limited were Guests of Honor. Picture shows Rtd.
