

Jayasuriya cracks 125 in 65 balls
Shehan Jayasuriya cracked a blistering 125 in just 65 balls with nine sixes and ten fours for Prince of Wales College to amass a huge 338 runs and record 155 run victory over Dharmasoka College, Ambalangoga in their Inter-School Under-19 Limited Overs Tournament pre-quarter-final match played at Ratgama yesterday.
Jayasuriya’s cracking century and good knocks from Thisaru de Mel and Tharindu Dilshan helped the Cambrians to amass a massive 338 before being bowled out in the 46th over.
In reply the Sokians could muster only 183 runs.

Bhanuka Rajapakse top scored with 60 runs in 32 balls for Royal College to cruise to a six wicket victory over Maris Stella College in their pre-quarter-final match played at Reid Avenue yesterday.
Deciding to bat first Maris Stella were bowled out for 100 runs as spinners Maneesha Tantrigoda, Ramith Rambukwella and Charutha Rajaratne shared six wickets between them.
In reply, Royal cruised to victory in the 16th over with six wickets to spare.
Royal will now meet Dharmapala in the quarter-final scheduled to be played at CCC Ground on Monday.

Nipun Karunanayake(51n.o) and Adeesha Nanayakkara (41n.o) put on an unbeaten 74 run stand for the third wicket for Nalanda College to coast to an eight wicket victory over Moratu Vidyalaya in their Under-19 Limited Overs Tournament Pre-Quarter-Final played at Campbell Place yesterday.
Deciding to bat first Moratu Vidyalaya were bowled out for 140 runs as Ishan Rangana picked up four wickets for Nalanda.
The match was played as a 48-overs-a-side affair after wet ground conditions delayed the start of play in the morning.
