A tearful Mervyn bids farewell

A tearful Mervyn Silva yesterday said that he quit as the Deputy Media Minister as he could not handle two portfolios. He said that he would serve the people as the Deputy Highways Minister.
Addressing the media at the Media Ministry, he said he was sorry that he could not implement the welfare programmes he had planned for the benefit of the media.
