We have watched in disbelief the ever changing batting order of the Sri Lanka team in the ongoing cricket matches.

As wickets fall the next batsman is expected to be Sanath Jayasuriya MP but he keeps getting pushed further and further down the order.

In the first match he came in at No 6 and didn’t face a single ball; in the next match he came in at No 8 and faced just three balls. And this is the batsman hailed as the ‘master blaster’.

Is this an attempt to familiarise him for his new role in Parliament where he will be paid for doing nothing?
