

Three girls arrested while fleeing children’s home
Anuradhapura Police, on night patrol, arrested three girls aged 14, 15 and 16 while they were fleeing from a children’s home by vaulting over a wall.
Police confronted them while they were walking aimlessly at night on Thursday. They had pleaded with the Police not to hand them over to the children’s home as they had undergone harassment there.
The girls were produced in Court yesterday and remanded. Meanwhile, Police are inquiring into the complaints made by the girls against the children’s home.
