The Department of Meteorology forecasts that there will windy weather conditions in the Northern part of the island and specially in the Western slopes of the Central Hills today (Saturday).

There will be showers at times in the Western, Sabaragamuwa, Southern and Eastern Provinces, and showers with lightening in the North, Eastern, North Central and Uva Provinces.

Sea areas will be rough with a normal wind sped of 40-50 km per hour and could increase to 60-70 km per hour at times.
