UNP Candidate for Colombo district in the last parliamentary election Susil Kidelpitiya, Sirasa journalist was granted bail yesterday.

He was allowed Rs. 50,000/- surely bail by Colombo High Court Judge Deepali Wijesundera.

Kidelpitiya was remanded by the Colombo Magistrate, on a ‘B-report’ filed by the Mirihana police. Bail had been refused by the Magistrate. Subsequently he applied to the High Court for bail.

He was remanded by the Magistrate in the first week of April 2010.
