Army excels in women’s cricket


There are as many as six players are there in the present National Women’s cricket team representing Sri Lanka Army, showing that the Army’s dominance in Sri Lanka’s women’s cricket.

Army started women’s cricket in 2011. There are five Army players at the current Sri Lanka Women’s Development Squad. Sri Lanka Army is featuring in the first and second divisions of the Sri Lanka Cricket organised all-island inter-club tournament.
