A Sri Lankan Consulate office in Zurich, Switzerland was opened by Deputy Minister of External Affairs, Neomal Perera recently.

A longstanding resident of Switzerland, Vidarshana Munasinghe has been appointed Honorary Consul.

The expatriate Sri Lankan community in Switzerland appreciated the Colombo’s decision to reopen the Consulate in Zurich, as it would help solve their day-to-day consular matters without visiting the Embassy in far-away Geneva.
