Moragoda off to Delhi for talks with Indian leaders

Mr. Milinda Moragoda, Senior Advisor to the President and founder of the Pathfinder Foundation will visit New Delhi this week at the invitation of the Government of India and will hold consultations with the new National Security Advisor Ajit Doval and other senior leaders.

He is expected to meet with External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj, Finance and Defence Minister Arun Jaitley, and other senior Indian leaders and officials.

He will also meet with retired General N.C. Vij, who succeeded Ajit Doval as head of the BJP-affiliated think-tank, Vivekananda Foundation.

The Pathfinder Foundation and the Vivekananda Foundation have a memorandum of intent for Indo-Lanka track-two co-operation. Moragoda is also expected to meet with the prominent author, journalist, and  BJP national spokesperson, M.J. Akbar who will be delivering the "Pathfinder Foundation Jawaharlal Nehru Lecture" in Colombo later this year to commemorate the 125th birth anniversary of the late Indian Prime Minister. This lecture is supported by the Indo-Lanka Foundation.

Moragoda has been maintaining a regular and ongoing dialogue with senior Indian leaders over the years. His most recent visit was undertaken earlier this year prior to the Indian elections.
