By Sachintha Fernando

SL2College is a nonprofit organization dedicated towards providing guidance to Sri Lankan students interested in higher education. It is a volunteer driven organization consisting of undergraduate and graduate students, academics and professionals from all around the world who aim to provide unbiased advice and guidance to Sri Lankan students to pursue their higher education dreams.

This year SL2College will be hosting their second annual undergraduate conference Voices 2014, on the 5th of October at the New Arts Theatre, University of Colombo. SL2College Voices is aimed at providing insight into the opportunities available for students at undergraduate level. The conference will provide an open forum for prospective undergraduates and parents to interact with prominent entrepreneurs, professionals, recent graduates from several local universities and other academic experts to share and gain information on higher education options in Sri Lanka and worldwide.

The keynote lineup will consist of Dr. Hans Wijesuriya (group CEO of Dialog Axiata) and Professor Mohan Munasighe (Nobel Laureate and founder and chairman of the Munasighe Institute of Development). The conference will also include sessions on public sector education opportunities, private sector education opportunities, academic experience sharing, professional qualifications and personal training.

The US-Sri Lanka Fulbright Commission, the British Council, and the Australian Trade Commission (Austrade) will also be participating in the conference and providing information about various educational opportunities and scholarships available for international students.
