SLMC leader Rauff Hakeem yesterday pledged his support to make UNP leader Ranil Wickremesinghe Premier of a stable government.

Addressing the media at Temple Trees following the formation of a new political alliance, Minister Hakeem said that those who had spearheaded the January 8 revolution were now working together to thwart planned counter revolution.

Hakeem said that there could be differences among political parties over many matters, though consensus was likely on the issue of good governance and national reconciliation (SF)
