Sri Lanka had not benefited from any of the agreements it had entered into with India and therefore the proposed CEPA (Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement) should be revealed to the public if it was to be signed, Ven. Aturaliye Ratana Thera of the JHU said.

No agreement should be signed with a foreign country without first being presented to Parliament for its approval, Ven Ratana Thera said.

He said his party would oppose any agreement which was not revealed to the public and approved by Parliament.
