Schools Under-15 cricketers to tour Malaysia

Sri Lanka Under-15 cricket team selected by the Sri Lanka Schools Cricket Association will leave for Malaysia for the annual ‘Tuanku Ja’afar Trophy’ International Under-15 cricket tournament on Saturday.


The 14 member team is captained by Kamil Migara of Mahanama College, Panadura while Dharmasoka College, Ambalangoda cricketer Ravindu Rashantha Silva is his deputy.


The SLSCA said that it is the 13th occasion that a team from Sri Lanka is taking part in the six nation tourney. Other teams are from Bangladesh, India, South Africa, Singapore and host Malaysia. Oshara Panditharathne, the Principal of Dharmapala College, Pannipitiya is the tour manager, while Upul Gunathilake (Team Manager) Palinda Mahe de Silva(Head Coach) and Pravin Milinda de Silva (Asst. Coach) are the other officials on tour.

(Dharmashoka, Ambalangoda), Shevaan Rasool (St. Joseph’s, Darley Road), Mohamad Shamaz (Zahira, Colombo), Avishka Tharidu Chandima (St. Anthony’s, Wattala), Avishka Lakmal Perera (Nalanda, Colombo), Janidu Wathsala Jayawardane (Bandaranayake, Gampaha), Maneesha Perera Rupasinghe (Isipatana, Colombo), Kavindu Nadishan (Dharmasoka, Ambalangoda), Ahan Sachintha (Royal, Colombo), Manula Nilaksha Perera (Royal, Colombo), Sadun Tharaka Mendis (Richmond, Galle), Yasiru Kasthuriarachchi (Mahanama, Colombo), Leshan Kavisha Amarasinghe (Isipatana).
