‘Green Valley’ housing scheme for middle class

The foundation stone for the phase two of the proposed ‘Green Valley’ middle class housing scheme comprising 352 units at Athurugiriya constructed jointly by National Housing Authority and Home Land Skyline Company will be laid by Housing and Construction Minister Sajith Premadasa today at 10.00 a.m.

The project with necessary infrastructure would cost around Rs. 1.6 billion.

There will be 288 two roomed units each 688 sq. ft each priced between Rs. 4.5 million and Rs.five million a unitand 64 three roomed units each 1,055, priced at Rs.7.5 million and Rs.7.9 million a unit.

The prospective buyers will be required to pay 20 percent of the total amount upfront and the rest in installments.

According to Ministry sources, bank loans could be arranged to pay the installments.

The housing complex will consist of two swimming pools, two gyms, jogging track, children’s park small shopping complex multipurpose building, day care centre, a vehicle park and 24 hour security service.

The complex is located on the Godagama-Athurugiriya road, four kilometers from the Panagoda junction towards Hanwella. .
