JLanka Powers Megapolis Awareness Seminar for SMEs with Guaranteed Opportunity to Register for Projects Coming Under Development Plan



The third in a series of seminars powered by JLanka Technologies to create awareness of the Western Region Development Plan, will be focusing on small and medium scale enterprises (SMEs). The seminar is scheduled to be held on the 4th of August 2016, 5:30 p.m. onwards at Hotel TajSamudra, Colombo.


The Western Region Megapolis Plan is an extensive project that ensures sustainable development of Sri Lanka’s commercial hub and the extended western region. This series of seminars was launched to engage various sectors driving the economic development of the country,giving them a better understanding of the Megapolis project and its various aspects. The third seminar is titled Accelerating Energy Efficiency in SMEs.


Most importantly, SME holders and SME sector-related agencies will have the unique opportunity to register officially under the Megapolis project during the seminar, giving them the crucial edge of winning project opportunities as and when they arise.


The seminar itself willcover future plans for the SME sector through the Megapolis development, possible areas that SMEs can contribute in all ongoing projects of the Megapolis, means of land allocation for SMEs from each development zone dedicated to the sector, especially in the localities of Mirigama and Horana. All those attending will have the chance to voice opinions and share concerns, making this the perfect platform for the SME sector to grow on, and contribute as a collective to the economy.


Team Leader and Project Director of The Ministry of Megapolis and Western Development, Mr. LakshmanJayasekera, also the former Director General of the National Physical Planning and Development / Urban Development Authority, and President of the Institute of Town Planners, will speak at the event.
