Lebanese family in custody for using forged passports

Three members of a Lebanese family were arrested at the BIA for using forged passports. Immigration and Emigration Department personnel arrested a couple and their son when they attempted to enter the country on forged passports.

They are being questioned by the CID.

The mother and the son had forged passports issued in Britain while the man had a forged passport issued in Germany.

Meanwhile, three Palestinian asylum passports had also been found in their possession following investigations.

The suspects are to be produced in Negombo Magistrate’s Court today
