By Harischandra Gunaratna

The tomb of a Muslim Yam (saint) Sheik Salih Waliullah buried in the Galle Fort had been vandalised by unidentified persons two days ago, said former UPFA Minister A.H.M. Azwer.

Azwer said the Fort was a World Heritage Site and came under the supervision of the army and still the culprits had not been identified.

The veteran politician said the saint had been buried over 300 years ago.

The UPFA politician said he would take up the matter with the President.
