Dambulla win last-ball thriller

Chasing a target of 251, Dambulla won a last ball thriller against Galle in an Inter-Provincial Cricket tournament match played at Dambulla yesterday.
Galle posted 250 for eight in their 50 overs and Dambulla got home in the last ball of the innings with the last pair at the middle.

Munaweera and Chandimal star in Colombo win
Captain Dinesh Chandimal smashed run-a-ball 76 with five fours and two sixes as Colombo beat Kandy by 102 runs in an Inter-Provincial game at NCC yesterday.
Dilshan Munaweera (52) and Lahiru Thirimanne (49) gave Colombo a solid start adding 86 runs for the first wicket. Wanindu Hasaranga then gave Colombo’s innings much needed impetus smashing 49 off 44 deliveries with five fours. Chandimal’s 76 held the middle order together.
Nuwan Pradeep was the most successful bowler for Kandy picking up three wickets.
Kandy’s innings failed to kick off as none of the batsmen managed to score a half-century. They were eventually shot out for 182 in 38 overs.
Hasaranga was once again impressive with the ball picking up three wickets.
