SLIM Nielsen People’s Awards just around the corner

The Awards were created by the national body for marketing, Sri Lanka Institute of Marketing (SLIM) and Nielsen Sri Lanka, one of the leading global research agencies, to identify and acknowledge brands and personalities that have made a profound impression upon the people in Sri Lanka.

The winners and nominees of each of the forty-five award categories are selected based on the findings of a survey conducted by Nielsen across all 25 districts and 9 provinces in Sri Lanka. The SLIM-Nielsen People’s Awards is one of its kind, as the general public takes on the role of the judges, rating their favorite brands, personalities, advertisements, films, tele-dramas etc. Thus, the SLIM-Nielsen People’s Awards is one of the most credible award ceremonies among the corporate sector and is a great favorite among the people of Sri Lanka whilst the brand custodians and marketers eagerly await the results.

The awards include categories such as, the People’s Brand of the Year, FMCG Brand of the Year, Household Care Brand of the Year, Beverage Brand of the Year, Food Brand of the Year, Television Channel of the Year, Advertisement of the Year, Film of the Year, Television Program of the Year, Male and Female Singers of the Year, Actor and Actress of the Year, Sports Person of the Year, and Youth Brand of the Year.

2018 has also seen the addition of the new Fashion and FMCG Retailer categories.
