Sarvodaya to educate students and parents on modern day ICT tools

A MOU was signed by Sarvodaya-Fusion and LK Domain registry to educate and create awareness among student communities, teachers and parents on using modern day ICT tools to create a positive social impact in the country.


The signing of the MOU on "Securing a Smart Generation" was held at Sarvodaya Headquarters, Moratuwa under the patronage of its founder A.T. Ariyaratne.


"IT Yahamaga" securing a SMART generation is an initiation by Sarvodaya-Fusion to educate student communities, and also create awareness among teachers and parents on using modern day ICT tools to create a positive social Impact. The programme further brings cognizance on ways to secure and control aspects that could create a safe environment in a digital world and most importantly drives them towards responsible handling of these ICT tools.


LK Domain Registry being an organization that served the country not only by providing the professional domain registration service but also as a pioneer who facilitated the development of internet infrastructure in Sri Lanka, realizing its responsibility towards the country collaborated in this project.


This collaboration will continue until 2020 with the intention of reaching out to hundreds and thousands of schoolchildren, teachers and parents across the country, who lack access to such information and guidance.


Dr. Vinya Ariyaratne, General Secretary of Sarvodaya Shramadana Movement, signed the MOU representing Sarvodaya-Fusion, while Prof. Gihan Dias, CEO of LK Domain Registry signed the MOU with consent to the agreement. Other participants of witness include, Dr. A. T. Ariyaratne, President of Sarvodaya Shramadana Movement, Maithree Malwattegoda, General Manager of Sarvodaya-Fusion, Shirani Elasinghe, Deputy General Manager of Sarvodaya-Fusion, D.D.
