Opposition Leader Mahinda Rajapaksa would certainly vote for the no-confidence motion (NCM) to be moved against Industry and Commerce Minister Rishad Bathiudeen over his alleged involvement with those responsible for the Easter Sunday carnage, Jathika Hela Urumaya leader and attorney-at-law Udaya Gammanpila said.

MP Gammanpila said so when The Island asked him why Rajapaksa had refrained from signing the NCM. MP Gammanpila pointed out that Rajapaksa hadn’t signed NCM against Ministers Ravi Karunanayke and Dr. Rajitha Senaratne as well. The MP said that there was no requirement for the former President to sign the NCM. Nearly 70 Opposition lawmakers have signed the NCM.
