Trump’s false claim

President Donald Trump has blamed former president Barack Obama for lack of testing protocol institutions for coronavirus tests and has said ‘I don’t take responsibility at all.’ Obama left the Oval Office three years ago in 2017 and Trump took over from him at the same time. The WHO office in China heard the first reports of a previously unknown coronavirus in Wuhan on 31 December 2019.

Responding to the baseless blame on Obama, Ben Rhodes, a national security officer during Obama’s administration, slammed Trump by comparing how Obama handled the Ebola outbreak during his time and how Trump is handling the coronavirus now. He said you need a president who is willing to hear bad news, willing to understand that they are going to have to focus on something that they have not intended to focus on.

President Trump clearly did not want to hear bad news when he heard about coronavirus. The latest US cases soared to 10,000 (many hospitalized are adults under 55) while doctors pleaded for protective gears. Many Americans thought it could be the costliest presidential bungle in history.
