Yes, it’s really exciting to see changes taking place, gradually, in the city of Colombo, following the coronavirus pandemic.

The hotel scene is brightening up, and that’s a good sign, indeed, ‘cos people do miss that kind of special five-star setting,

Taj Samudra Colombo have effectively implemented heightened hygiene, and safety procedures, for all guests, employees, partners and vendors, in accordance with the authorities concerned, and has opened its doors…after the long lockdown, and curfew.

The Ports of Call, I’m told, has a tantalizing A la carte menu for guests. And, what’s more, the Ports of Call will also serve your favourite cuisine, from Golden Dragon and Navratna.

All guests will be offered a 25% offering on all beverages, during lunch and dinner.

No doubt, the ‘Ports of Call’ is bound to enliven the memory of many who were treated to those tempting selections, when it was launched 33 years ago. Many years later, Taj Samudra has brewed nostalgia among its long-standing clientele who frequented the location; inviting them to come over for old time’s sake.

The YUMI Japanese Resto Bar is opened, as well - for lunch and dinner.

Dishes, at this Resto Bar, are carefully presented, on plates, that are chosen to enhance both the appearance and the seasonal theme of the meal, and are beautifully arranged, and garnished, for ultimate satisfaction.

After a long stay, indoors, at home, you can now indulge yourself in some delicious food and great beverages at the Taj Samudra Colombo, with an assurance of safety and hygiene, for the new normal world.

This certainly is welcome news and let’s hope, before long, we will see the city of Colombo, further brightening up.

In fact, we are all keeping our fingers crossed and look forward to seeing the country, as a whole, active again…in a new setting!
