TNA will not withdraw from LG elections

By Pabodha Hettige

Tamil National Alliance (TNA) MP Mavai Senathirajah says that TNA will not pull out from the forthcoming local government elections despite the obstructions to their election campaign in the North and the East. "The TNA is looking forward and working hard to secure a victory in both Northern and Eastern regions," he said.

Former TNA MP M. K. Sivajilingam warned that his party would pull out of the local government polls if harassment persisted even after it was brought to the notice of the Commissioner of Elections.

Senathirajah further said that MP M. K Sivajilingam had no authority to issue a statement that the TNA would withdraw from the local government elections.
