Foreigner killed in Alawwa train crash

At least one person, a foreigner, has been killed and about 20 injured, in the tragic train accident that took place at the Alawwa railway station last afternoon.


People trying to take out those who were trapped inside the commuter train engine last night.

A train that had left at about 3 p.m. from Colombo Fort had crashed into the observation saloon of the Kandy bound intercity train at the Alawwa station when the latter had been stationed there.
