The Colombo City Tour launches the much awaited evening tours around the city with The Courtyard, the former 17th century Dutch Hospital Building in Colombo Fort. Wonderfully transformed by the initiation of the "Ministry of Defense and Urban Development" and Sri Lanka Tourism into a charming dining and shopping precinct in the heart of Colombo, The Courtyard is indeed a much happening place in Sri Lanka’s premier city.

The Colombo City Tour, a venture by Sri Lanka Tourism, in collaboration with Ebert Silva Holidays, will commence pleasant 2 hour evening city rides, initially every Saturday and Sunday. Evening tours will commence from The Courtyard at 5:30 p.m. on an open deck double decker with a live commentary. The tour will cover areas such as York Street, the gaily lit Colombo Harbour, Slave Island, Cinnamon Gardens, Bauddhaloka Mawatha, Galle Road, and the Galle Face promenade with stops at the independence square and Gangarama Seema Malakaya.

The end of the tour will bring guests back to The Courtyard where they have the opportunity to dine and shop through numerous select and exclusive restaurants and shops enjoying an unmatched ambience before being dropped at respective city hotels. With the city of Colombo being gradually infused with activity and life and it’s streets and buildings lit up, Ebert Silva Holidays announced their intention to increase the frequency of the Colombo City Tour’s evening tours on week days as well with the introduction of 2 open deck buses in the near future.
