Kapila Perera shines for The Finance

A fine batting performance by former Ananda College captain Kapila Perera helped The Finance beat HSBC in an ‘F’ Division match of the Mercantile Cricket Tournament at Thurstan Ground, Colombo on Saturday. The victory helped The Finance to qualify for the semi-finals next Saturday at MCA grounds.

The Finance’s total of 204 for five was powered by Perera’s 51 runs and was ably supported by Damith Mendis who made 43.

In reply, HSBC were bundled out for 159 runs to hand The Finance a comfortable a 45 run win.
