CID raids UNP Website, Sri Lanka Mirror offices
Nine employees, seven computers taken into custody

The Criminal Investigation Department (CID) yesterday raided the offices of Sri LankaXnews, the official website of the UNP and Sri Lanka Mirror in Colombo and took into custody a total of nine employees and seven computers.
Mangala Samaraweera MP, told The Island that about 25 CID officers had stormed the premises, of both websites, situated at Pitakotte around 12.30 p.m. and began checking all the computers claiming that they had Court approval.
"They did not reveal what they were looking for, but after searching for a while took into custody nine persons and seven computers," he said adding that they did not even spare the tea boy.
The CID, had also raided the house of Ruwan Ferdinandez, the Editor of Lanka Mirror, situated in Narahenpita, Samaraweera said.
