Nethmi Waduge

Nethmi Waduge won a triple at the on-going Colombo Championship Tennis, a Super ‘A’ Grade Tournament, ratified by the SLTA and held at the SLTA Playing Section clay courts, in Colombo.

Waduge won the Girls’ Under-14 Singles and Doubles, partnering Melissa Jayawardena, and the Under-16 Singles too, which was completed on Wednesday.

Girls’ Under-16 Singles (final):

Nethmi Waduge (2) bt Thewuni Dewaraja (3) 6-2, 6-1

Girls’ Under-12 Singles (final): Umeshi Ranaweera (1) bt Piyumi Wickramasinghe (2)

Semi-finalists: Prabuddhi Perera (3) and Janali Manamperi (4)

Girls’ Under-14 Singles (final):

Nethmi Waduge (1) bt Rukshana Abdeen (2) 6-2, 6-2
