Villagers punish pervert for harassing pregnant woman

A man who groped a pregnant woman at a lonely spot in Wadduwa last week had a crude shock. He was captured by the residents of the area and beaten badly before being handed over to the police. He is an Air Force civil worker.

According to the police the suspect riding a cycle had followed the pregnant woman and committed the offence near the Galle Road. Villagers rushed to the scene on hearing the victim’s screams and caught the suspect who tried to flee.

The suspect is a 28 year old father of four.
