Father stabs daughter’s suitor to death

A youth was stabbed to death around 2.00 pm on the 20th, at National School Mawatha in the Eheliyagoda town. The assailant surrendered to the Eheliyagoda police.

The suspect has said he knifed the youth for following his school going daughter in a bid to start an affair.

The father who heard about the young man troubling her daughter had waited for the youth.

The deceased Asanka Maduranga and the girl are residents of Eheliyagoda.

The Eheliyagoda police are conducting further investigations.
