Sajith defends Dayasiri

UNP Deputy Leader and Hambantota District Parliamentarian Sajith Premadasa says that UNP Kurunegala District Parliamentarian Dayasiri Jayasekera has in no way criticised him or hurt his feelings through his utterances in the recent past.
Premadasa said that action was also being contemplated against UNP Parliamentarians Chandrani Bandara and G. Harrison, who invited Jayasekera to address political rallies in Anuradhapura. Such action was counterproductive in view of the upcoming PC polls, Premadasa said.
He said that Jayasekera was a young and very popular politician who had worked together with the people and towards the progress of the party for several years. Obstacles should not be laid in Jayasekera’s path, he said.
Premadasa said what was really need at that particular juncture was not disciplinary action against anyone. "We must work together as one to defeat the UPFA government," Premadasa said.
