Sujeeva to complain against ‘Greek Bond’ scam

UNP Colombo District parliamentarian Sujeeva Senasinghe yesterday told The Island that he would lodge a complaint with the Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption today (30) against all officials involved in the alleged ‘Greek Bond’ issue scam.

Now that the Bribery Commission had moved Court against the former Chairman of the State-run National Savings Bank (NSB) Pradeep Kariyawasam over the alleged fraudulent transaction involving The Finance Company (TFC), the UNP would push for investigations on other questionable transactions.

Responding to a query, Senasinghe said that the recent COPE report, too, dealt with the ‘Greek Bond’ issue.

The MP said that he would lodge another complaint on Wednesday (31) with the Bribery Commission pushing for a wider investigation into the NSB-TFC scam. Complaints against other questionable deals, involving the national carrier, SriLankan and budget airline, Mihin Air, too, would be lodged shortly.
