UPFA PS member remanded

UPFA Kobeigane Pradeshiya Sabha member Sarathchandra Wijesinghe was yesterday remanded till November 12 by Nikaweratiya Magistrate Ravindra U. Jayasuriya on suspicion of accepting money from a person on the promise of providing employment in the state sector.

The arrest had been made by the Nikaweratiya police when he was allegedly accepting Rs 50,000 from a person at Nikaweratiya.

According to a senior officer of the Nikaweratiya police station they had received similar complaints against the suspect Pradeshiya Sabha member.
