Two teams of Judicial Medical Officers (JMOs) had been sent by the Health Ministry, to the Balapitiya hospital to conduct post-mortem inquiries on the bodies of 25 fishermen, lying in the hospital mortuary, Director General of Health Services Dr. Palitha Maheepala said yesterday.
Dr Maheepala added that on the instruction of the Health Minister he had deployed two teams of JMOs to Balapitiya hospital for the post-mortems and to hand over the bodies to the relatives who were waiting for them.
