Sri Lanka Freedom Party (SLFP) General Secretary and Health Minister Maithripala Sirisena yesterday asked where most of the reports by Commissions and Committees appointed by the President had gone.
He asked this question in reply to a query raised by The Island, during the media briefing at the SLFP Head Office in Colombo yesterday.
He said that the government should find out the reason for the delay in submitting reports by those inquiring bodies.
President Mahinda Rajapaksa had appointed committees recently to probe the worst ever fishing disaster, fire at Colombo Port, fire at the Colombo District Secretariat, the recent import of inferior quality fuel, because of the mysterious breakdown in the Sapugaskanda oil refinery and to probe many other recent incidents.
