The employees of Salu Sala, which is to be closed down soon, complained that their salaries for the month of June had not been paid yet.
Hence, they have decided to organise a protest demanding the arrears.
They said that their monthly salaries were not paid on time after Roshan Maddumage assumed duties as Salu Sala Chairman and the payment of salaries were delayed by two weeks every month.
A spokesman for the protestors said that the institution had become a loss making one and to pay their salaries the treasury had to allocate Rs 4.8 million, but this month it has allocated only Rs 3.5 million.
He said the employees should be paid compensation.
