The British School in Colombo will reach another important landmark when they commemorate their 19th anniversary with the main ceremony scheduled to be held on September 12 (Thursday), at the school premises.

This will be a significant and memorable occasion for the whole school as pupils, parents and staff celebrates the growth of the school from very small beginnings to become a leading international school in the region.

The anniversary celebrations will also provide the opportunity to recognize the achievements of the students where they attained the best ever examination results this summer, with some outstanding individual performances.

The anniversary is always an opportunity for the school to reflect on what it does well and to recognize the achievements of the students who are provided with an all inclusive service from the age of two to 18.

The British School in Colombo in its continuous search towards excellence in both academics and extracurricular activities has also further enhanced the overall facilities of the school this summer.

A brand new roof top café for the senior students and a dedicated play area for the younger students are among two new additions that will be ceremonially declared open on September 12.

The anniversary celebrations will reach its climax when the youngest and the oldest student of the school participate in cutting an enormous cake, specially made for this occasion which will enable everyone in the school and every member of the staff to enjoy a piece of birthday cake.
