A teenaged girl, who is allegedly a rape victim, has complained to the Supreme Court that she was unable to attend school because the principal wanted her to leave as she (principal) had received threatening calls and feared for the safety of the other students.

The petition said that the principal told her mother that she feared that the lives of other children, attending the school, would be endangered and hence, for security reasons, she would suggest that the rape victim leave the school immediately.

The girl has told the court that she was subjected to arbitrary treatment by the educational authorities and demanded two million rupees in damages. She wants the court to help her get admitted to another school.

The girl has said in her petition that she has to sit the Ordinary Level exam in 2014 without guidance.
